A little treat

I usually buy only milk and yogurt. Last week I bought a little carton of coffee cream (18%). This morning I enjoyed cream both in my coffee and on my oatmeal.

It's been a pretty good six months. I probably won't get around to trying to write a summary. I've been intermittently reading you all, although not commenting.

Here at latitude 53 sunset is at 4:15 pm today. I don't enjoy the long nights. Only two more weeks to the solstice!

Yay for a little cream!

I have always enjoyed the long nights, I love seeing stars, the moon, planets, and northern lights, and here at latitude 64 stars are only visible half of the year, so I treasure them. However, I really truly miss the snow that is supposed to accompany the stars, and which makes both the days and the nights much less dark. This rain in December thing isn't to my liking at all.

Thank you! I had a really bad spell last year, running from November to February. A year later I have made the obvious connection. It started three weeks after my mother died in October...
